My period just arrived. Fantastic. Obviously somewhere along the line I ovulated and it wasn’t picked up. Fills me with trust in their ability.

Weird mix of emotions. Furious at the fuck up, devestated that a chance was missed, hopeful that at least it made me ovulate, so maybe this cycle?

I’m Megs, mother of 2 (Jack 2, Lewis 10 months), I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and we’re trying to conceive (TTC) our 3rd child.

Jack and Lewis were both Clomid babies, 50mg for Jack and 100mg for Lewis. This time around 100mg did nothing so I have been put on Gonal-F injections.

Stimming with PCOS is a delicate process, we aren’t doing IVF so we only want 1 or 2 follicles. The nature of a polycystic ovary is that there are multiple follicles, the goal is to stimulate the ovaries just enough to mature the number of follicles we want. Anymore and I will have to ovulate without TTC, wait for a period and begin the process again.

I am currently on day 30 of my cycle. I started stimming on day 6 with 75iu of Gonal-F injected into my stomach. We are now on day 25 of stimming, 150iu now, and still only have multiple small follies.

Welcome to my journey.
